    The First Tee-Greater Chicago Golf Programs

    "Our mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing education programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf."

    The First Tee is a youth development initiative of the World Golf Foundation and is supported by the leading organizations in golf including the Masters Tournament, LPGA, PGA of America, PGA TOUR and United States Golf Association. There are nearly 200 chapters of The First Tee located throughout the country and in five international locations. The First Tee of Greater Chicago chapter is a charitable foundation dedicated to teaching the golf and life skills curriculum to young people.

    The First Tee of Greater Chicago strives to instill in participants The First Tee Nine Core Values - honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment. Young people who become members of The First Tee of Greater Chicago enjoy a variety of opportunities to learn life skills that can help them grow as individuals and prepare for the future.

  • Lemont Park District

    Lemont Park District Junior Golf Programs

    The Lemont Park District and Cog Hill will again partner in a strong program to promote junior golf. 9-Hole and 18-Hole leagues are offered to provide a fun learning experience to all participants. Non-residents are welcome and follow the same fee schedule.

    2018 Junior Golf Lessons

    Location: Cog Hill Driving Range
    Lead Instructor: Trey Van Dyke, PGA & Carol Rhoades, PGA
    Ages: 7-12 years
    Max: 20 per class

    Session 1 (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
    Class 1: June 5 - 21 (9am - 10am)
    Class 2: June 5 - 21 (10am -11am)

    Session 2 (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
    Class 1: July 10 - 26 (9am-10am)

    Fee: $108 (Resident & Non-Resident)

    Session 3 (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
    ​Class 1: June 5 - 21 (11am -12:30pm)
    Class 2: July 10 - 26 (11am - 12:30pm)

    Fee: $138 (Resident & Non-Resident)

    *Please bring a 7-iron to the first class. Cog Hill will provide clubs, if needed. Sandals and flip flops are not recommended.

    **No rainouts due to covered hitting bays and no make-up dates. Parents are not allowed to sit in on lessons.

    PGA Junior Golf Camps

    "We have camps for all age groups and abilities, and our best-in-class PGA instruction ensures your child learns from the best."

    Camp Highlights:

    Action-packed mornings include 3 hours of hands-on instruction lead by certified PGA Professionals.

    Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities). A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child’s well being in mind. Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)
