The private lesson area, located behind our historical barn, includes an 8,000 sq.ft. putting green, an approach green with numerous bunker options, and a green dedicated to chipping. Summer lessons are offered on bent grass and blue grass turf surfaces. Winter lessons are offered under our covered hitting areas that consists of 25 heated hitting bays.

With over 20 years teaching, 16 at Cog Hill, Kevin has established himself as a premier instructor on the local and national level. Kevin has earned three Illinois PGA Instructor of the Year Awards (2005, 2007, 2009), is currently ranked 1st on Golf Digest's Top Instructors in Your State List (IL), and was a finalist for 2010 & 2019 National PGA Teacher of the Year Award. In 2013, Kevin was named US Kids Golf Master Instructor for his commitment to developing junior players. Over 60 of his students have played college golf.
Kevin is a regular contributor to PGA.com and has had numberous articles published in Golf Digest. His most recent "Its All Fun and Games," appeared in the January 2011 issue. Kevin invented and patented The Dynamic Impact Indicator, a putting improvement device, and has worked with over 75 PGA Tour Players since 2006.
Kevin specializes in low handicaps, juniors, short game schools and corporate outings.

Jeff was the Head Golf Professional at Cog Hill for 25 years (1991-2014). Starting in 2015, Jeff transitioned to a full-time Teaching Professional. This has enabled him to be more flexible to his family and his students. He brings a simple, unique style of teaching that focuses on the student’s abilities, rather than a particular method. Jeff adapts this style to a wide range of golfing abilities. He is well known and respected among his colleagues, as well as his students for his friendly personality, professional manner, and positive energy.
Jeff’s main objectives are to increase your skills as a golfer, ensure the enjoyment of the game, and build a long term relationship. His schedule will remain flexible, allowing many options to meet his student’s needs.

Lee is a Class A PGA Professional with 43 years of teaching experience and is entering his 27th season as an instructor at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club. He has been ranked by Golf Digest as the 8th Best Teacher in Illinois (2016, 2017) and boasts a highly successful career of golf instruction for men, women, senior and juniors at all skill levels from beginners to PGA Tour players. Former students inclue The Canadian PGA Tour Leading Money Winner, Collegiate Champion, Dakota Pro Tour Champion, Illinois Junior Player of the Year, Illinois Junior State Champion, Hurricane Tour National Junior Champion, and NBC Golf Channel Academy Instructor. Lee is a member of the Proponent Group in the Golf Instructor Division. He is certified in K-Vest TPI 3D Motion, as well as Advanced Motion Measurement (AMM) 3D Swing Analysis Technology. Lee has received the following certifications with the Titleist Performance Institute: Golf Professional Fitness Level I and II; Golf Biomechanics Level II; Junior Level II and Level III Coach; Certified Golf Coach Level II. He is also a certified Assistant Coach for the First Tee Program.
Before his tenure at Cog Hill, Lee was the Head Professional at Columbine Country Club in Denver, Colorado and at Stonebridge Country Club in Memphis, Tennessee. He also played 15 tournaments on the Space Coast Tour.

If you are looking to have yourself, a few friends or your juniors work on their game, Group Lessons are the way to go. You can put together your own group and can set the days and times that work best for your schedule. I recommend starting with a minimum of 4 hours of lessons. This time can be broken down into 4 one hour lessons or however you prefer. Please speak directly with me and we can discuss a scenario works best for you and your group.

Louise is a PGA/LPGA Member with over 24 years of teaching experience. She has been teaching at Cog Hill for the past 17 years and has been voted one of the Best Instructors in Illinois by Golf Digest from 2005-2018. Louise has been ranked the #1 Female Instructor in Illinois since 2005 as voted on by Golf Digest Magazine and is ranked the #9 Overall instructor in the State of Illinois by Golf Digest Magazine. She received the Presidents Plaque by the Illinois PGA in 2010 for her contributions to golf and her continued efforts to grow the game.
She is a US Kids Golf Certified Instructor and has worked with 3-Time Illinois Teacher of the Year and Top 50 Instructor in the USA, Kevin Weeks, Jim Suttie and several other Top 100 Ranked Teaching Professionals. Louise is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where she played collegiate basketball and golf and is a former LPGA Futures Touring Professional.
Louise welcomes players ages 3 and up to her lesson tee and works with beginner golfers all the way up to professional golfers. With our fantastic practice areas, she can work on any aspect of your game you may be struggling with and provide you with the drill work and practice regimen necessary to make improvements.

Trey Van Dyke, PGA

Trey is a Class A PGA Golf Professional with 30+ years of teaching experience. He enters his fourth season at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club after having spent 25 years as the Head Golf Professional of Oak Brook Golf Club and 4 years as an Associate Golf Professional at Butler National Golf Club. Trey has taught golfers of all abilities and ages in many settings including individual lessons, group lessons, clinics, golf schools, and team coaching.
Trey’s coaching has helped a wide variety of students. The range of that help has been from holding a club for the first time to preparing for a national championship. He looks forward to working with you to fix your faults, develop your improvement plan, and share in your successes. To aid in the learning process, Trey uses V1 golf HD video analysis software including the BodiTrac weight distribution mat.
Trey has actively supported the growth of golf and spreading the values the game develops by serving many local organizations. Most notably he has served as Vice President of The First Tee of Greater Chicago (2007 – 2012), President of the Illinois PGA Section (2008 – 2010) and President of the Illinois PGA Foundation (2010 – 2015). He currently serves at the national level as Chair of PGA Membership Committee.

Ryan has over 20 years of experience teaching players of all abilities from beginners to PGA tour professionals (Joe Durant, Jerry Pate). He has taught alongside 7 of the current Golf Digest Top 100 instructors and was a staff member of the Golf Digest Schools. In 2017, Ryan was awarded as GOLFTEC National Teacher of the Year, the most prestigious award given by the company.
Ryan is currently ranked a Top 5 instructor in the State of Louisiana by Golf Digest Magazine. Ryan has had multiple students qualify for the US Kids World Championships in Pinehurst both finishing in the Top 40.
Ryan is available for lessons 7 days a week.
